What is it but a Dream is an Augmented Reality storybook based on Lewis Carroll’s work, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.
This project is an recombinant interactive narrative to simulate how we understand literature and how our interpretations change as we grow up, just like Alice in Carroll’s books. The camera of the mobile device is used as a metaphor for the way of how the protagonist sees the world and the extra digital layer represents the abstract space of reading and interpreting.
It is a project about the act of reading and also about trying to break the boundaries of linear literature with technology of our time.
